Are employees required to wear gloves?

Everyone working in a Dunkin’ restaurant must avoid bare hand contact with food and food prep surfaces by using single-use gloves, waxed tissue, or utensils. We have implemented a temporary brand standard to require single-use gloves to be used at the cashier, and while assembling beverages. Gloves must be changed frequently while performing these tasks and anytime a guest asks a crew member to do so.

For crew members who are moving between tasks, we advise using waxed tissue, using proper serving utensils and frequent handwashing.

Why can’t I sit in a restaurant location?

As part of Dunkin’s ongoing efforts to protect customers and restaurant employees in light of the COVID-19 health crisis, all U.S. Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins restaurants are limiting service to drive-thru ordering, carry-out, and delivery only. These restrictions took effect on March 17.   

We are committed to the health and safety of our guests, franchisees, employees, and communities we serve.

Why aren’t you closing your restaurant locations? 

We are continuing our legacy of being there when people need us most by taking additional steps to be a safe and welcoming environment.  We are grateful for the dedication of our franchisees and crew, who make our brand stand tall every day. We have given our franchisees, great flexibility to go to drive-thru only, limit their hours, or in some cases temporarily close their restaurants depending on the needs of the communities they serve. Dunkin' restaurants are independently owned and operated by individual franchisees who are responsible for making their own business decisions and are required to comply with all state, federal, and local laws.

Why can’t I use my refill mug?

Dunkin’ takes its job of keeping people running seriously. While we offer a refillable cup program as an option at participating restaurants nationwide, we believe it is right to take safety precautions. Therefore, Dunkin’ has temporarily halting the refilling of reusable mugs, in light of the public health concerns related to the coronavirus.

Will restaurant employees wear masks?

In light of recent guidance from the CDC, Dunkin’ has further enhanced preventative measures and has implemented a new temporary brand standard to require all restaurant employees to wear non-medical face masks. We are currently in the process of shipping non-medical face masks to franchisees who own and operate all Dunkin’ U.S. restaurants. In the meantime, we strongly recommend that franchisees have all of their restaurant employees wear a face covering behind the counter, even in those jurisdictions that do not require it.

How do you know your restaurant employees don’t have coronavirus?

Restaurant employees are not permitted to work when ill. Dunkin’ Brands food safety program includes strict standards. Franchisees must have their employees notify their manager and not work if infected with any reportable illnesses or showing symptoms including runny nose, fever, persistent coughing and sneezing, sore throat with fever, and many others associated with other foodborne illnesses.

Will there be hand sanitizer available at your restaurants?

It is strongly recommended that all franchisees offer hand sanitizer for guest use within the lobby oftheir restaurants.  

Can I get Cold Brew or Frozen Coffee in Decaf?

Unfortunately, our Cold Brew and Frozen Coffee are not available in Decaf.

Should I store my coffee in the refrigerator or freezer?

We do not recommend keeping our coffee in the refrigerator or freezer. Coffee is similar to baking soda. It can absorb moisture and aromas. It is also best if coffee is not exposed to light. We suggest you store your Dunkin' Donuts coffee in an airtight, opaque container, in a cool, dark place to maintain optimum flavor and freshness.

Does Dunkin’ Donuts have plans to replace Styrofoam cups?

We will be replacing our Styrofoam cup with a new, double-walled paper cup starting in the spring of 2018. By early 2020, all DD restaurants will transition to the new cup.

Our new cup provides the same experience as the Styrofoam cup (keeping hands cool and drinks hot), but is made from renewable resources that satisfy local regulatory requirements, meet consumer and franchisee expectations, and minimize environmental impacts.

What is the difference between DD Perks and my Dunkin’ Account?

DD Perks is our loyalty program, while a Dunkin’ account is a way to store your DD® Cards and receive Dunkin’ emails. You can create a Dunkin’ Account by registering your DD card.

Join DD Perks to enjoy all the benefits of a Dunkin’ account, plus perks like Free Beverages, member-only offers and On-the-Go Mobile Ordering.

Is there a fee to join DD Perks?

Of course not! It won’t even cost you much time. Simply create an account online or on the Dunkin’ app and register any DD Card. Then, you’ll be ready to earn rewards.

Do I need to register a DD Card in DD Perks and add value to it?

Yes. In order to make the most of DD Perks, your DD Card must be enrolled, registered and loaded with money. You can add value online, via the Dunkin’ app or at any participating Dunkin’.

I do not have an email address. Can I join DD Perks without using one?

An email address is required to join DD Perks. It helps us keep you accurately informed about your account and rewards.

Is my personal information secure?

We go to great lengths to ensure the security of your personal information. Please refer to our privacy policy for all the details on how we use your data.

What if my DD card is already registered?

Sweet—you’re a step ahead! Now, simply sign in to your existing Dunkin’ Account and click on the button to Join DD Perks. Once you finish your registration, you’ll be ready to earn points!

I am having trouble creating/signing into my account because the phone verification step.  What should I do?

Please contact our customer service line at 1-800-447-0013 Monday-Friday 7AM-7PM EST, and we can help resolve this issue.

How can I earn points and rewards?

You can earn points and free beverage rewards by using your enrolled DD Card to make purchases. If you live in select areas of Pennsylvania or California, you may also be able to use a Member Card. Simply scan your enrolled Member Card during qualifying purchases to earn points toward free beverages.

How will I receive my free beverage Reward Coupon when I earn 200 points?

There are a few ways to access your coupon. All free beverage Reward Coupons will be: viewable at DunkinDonuts.com when you sign in to your account; and available in the Dunkin’ app in the DD Perks section. It will also be emailed to you as a reminder 7-days from its expiration date. 

How will I receive my free birthday beverage?

A few days before your birthday, your birthday beverage coupon will be sent to your email address in the form of a printable coupon. If you haven’t provided your birthday yet, you can login to your account and go to manage profile to add it. 

*Reward coupons are one-time use, regardless of the channel used for redemption. DD Perks points will reset to 0 (-200) when a free beverage Reward Coupon is earned.

Do my points and Reward Coupons expire?

Yes. Point balances of less than 200 points will expire in one year if you do not make a qualifying purchase in that time with your enrolled DD Card. Birthday Free beverage Reward Coupons expire 7 days from the time they are issued. Free beverage Reward Coupons expire 30 days from the time they are issued.

Can I earn DD Perks points at any Dunkin’ Donuts location and on all Dunkin’ purchases?

DD Perks points are only earned by making qualified purchases at participating Dunkin’ Donuts locations. For a complete list of participating restaurants, please use our restaurant locator.

Please note: sales tax and returned merchandise will be deducted from the purchase price of qualifying purchases for purposes of calculating DD Perks points.

Some examples of unqualified purchases:

  • Purchase/reload of DD Cards or gift certificates
  • Redemption of DD Perks Reward Coupons
  • Donations to charity
  • Purchase of newspapers
  • Product purchases through the Dunkin’ Donuts online shop
  • Purchase of Baskin-Robbins® products sold in Dunkin Donuts’/Baskin-Robbins multi-brand locations

What if I forget my DD card and pay with cash or credit?

That’s ok! The DD Perks program is now a multi-tender program, meaning members can pay any way they choose and still earn points. All you have to do is scan your Loyalty ID found in your Dunkin’ app at checkout and you can pay by cash, credit or debit. 

What if I lose my Reward Coupon or throw away my receipt?

You can print your Reward Coupons from your account on DunkinDonuts.com as long as they have not yet been redeemed. Since your Reward Coupons are also sent to the email address on your account 7-days from expiration, you can also print them directly from your email.

Can I register my Baskin-Robbins gift card to my DD Perks account and earn points on purchases?

At this time, Baskin-Robbins gift cards cannot be registered to DD Perks accounts. Baskin-Robbins products sold in Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins multi-brand locations are not considered Qualified Purchases.

Why am I not receiving DD Perks points when making purchases with my registered DD Card associated with my account?

This is probably because you currently have a Dunkin’ Account—which allows you to register DD Cards and receive promotional emails and coupons—but not a DD Perks account.

To enroll in DD Perks, sign in to your Dunkin’ Account and click on the button to Join DD Perks. If you already have DD Cards registered to your Dunkin’ account, they will be linked to your DD Perks account automatically. If you do not have any registered cards, you can add a card during enrollment.

What are “member-only” offers and how do I get them?

Throughout the year, there may be opportunities for DD Perks members to earn additional perks or redeem special offers. We will notify you by email and in the Dunkin’ app about new ways to earn points.

Can I redeem my mobile offers online at DunkinDonuts.com?

Mobile offers are only accessible in the Dunkin’ app in the DD Perks offers section.

How do I get a DD Card?

You can purchase DD Cards at any participating Dunkin’ Donuts location, by enrolling in DD Perks, or in the Dunkin’ app. You can also purchase a DD card through your existing account if you have a Dunkin’ Account or DD Perks account.

Note: DD Cards purchased in the Dunkin’ app are virtual cards and usable only from within the Dunkin’ App. You will not receive a physical card.

Can I purchase and/or reload a DD Card with another DD Card?

No. DD Cards can be only be purchased and/or reloaded using cash, a credit card or a debit card.

Are there any fees associated with my DD Card?

Never! DD Cards are free to use and you will never be charged a service fee for having a balance.

Do I need to register my DD card in order to use it?

You do not need to register your DD Card to use it. However, we encourage you to register your DD card to protect your balance in case your card is lost.

Where do I find the 16-digit card number and PIN?

Your 16-digit card number and PIN are found on the back of your DD Card. Your PIN may be covered by a scratch-off sticker. Your card number is also available in the Dunkin’ app on your Card Details screen.

Why does the back of my Dunkin' Donuts Card have a scratch-off sticker with a number beneath it?

The number beneath the scratch-off sticker is your Personal Identification Number (PIN) or ID Number (ID). You will need this PIN/ID# to check your balance and transaction history, register your card, reload your card, and set up auto-reload on your card at DunkinDonuts.com. If your card does not have a PIN/ID# on the back, please contact the Loyalty Support Team at 1-800-447-0013.

How can I check the balance on my DD Card?

Glad you asked! There are several ways to check.

  • To start, your balance will always be printed at the bottom of your receipt or ask any Dunkin’ crew member to provide you with your balance in store. No purchase is required.
  • You can check your balance here > - just enter your Card # and PIN.
  • You can also check your registered card balance while logged in to your account on DunkinDonuts.com or in the Dunkin’ app.
  • If you want to speak with someone, call Loyalty Support at 1-800-447-0013.

My balance doesn’t seem to reflect what my receipt says. How can I confirm my current balance?

If your card balance does not update immediately after a transaction, you can manually refresh it. We recommend that you refresh your balance regularly.

On the Dunkin' Donuts app, go to the “My Card” tab, and swipe side-to-side to find the affected card. Under your card balance, tap the refresh button (the pink box with two arrows in a circle).

On DunkinDonuts.com, go to the “Check Balance & Add Value” tab. Under your card balance, click the refresh button (the pink box with two arrows in a circle).

I have cards with $0.00 balances. Is there a way to delete my old cards?

You can no longer remove gift cards from your account on DunkinDonuts.com. You can, however, remove gift cards with $0.00 balances from your mobile app. Please tap "My Card", then tap "Manage Cards" on the top right of the screen. Swipe your finger from right to left over the cards you wish to remove and then tap "Delete".

Is there a way to combine all my cards to my primary card?

Good News! You can now merge gift card balances through the Dunkin' App and DunkinDonuts.com. If you have more than one card on your account, please follow the steps below to merge the balances onto one card:

Mobile App:

  1. Make sure you are using version 4.11.0 (or greater) of the Dunkin' app - check the App Store or Play Store and be sure to download any updates
  2. In the app, select the "My Card" tile
  3. Swipe through your cards to select your “From” card (the card from which you will be removing funds)
  4. Select “Merge Balance”
  5. Select your "To" card (the card onto which you will be moving funds)
  6. Click "Done" in the bottom left-hand corner

DunkinDonuts.com:

  1. Sign in to your DD Perks account on DunkinDonuts.com
  2. Click on the drop-down menu below “What would you like to do today?” and select “Transfer Balance”
  3. Click on the drop-down menu below “Transfer to” to select the card that you want the funds transferred to
  4. Under “Transfer From”, select the bullet point to the left of the gift card you would like the balance transferred from
  5. Click "Review”
  6. Confirm the transfer by clicking "Submit"

Please Note: Once your card is successfully merged, a confirmation will appear on the screen. Any cards that you merge "from" will be unregistered and removed from your account.

Where can I view my DD card transaction history?

To view your DD Card transaction history, your card needs to be registered. (Don’t worry, it’s easy!) Simply register your card or enroll your card in DD Perks. If you are already a DD Perks member, your cards are already registered.

Can I receive cash back for the remaining balance on my card?

DD Card balances cannot be redeemed for cash, check or credit—unless required by law.

Once I set up Auto-Reload for my DD Card, when should I expect the reload to occur?

If you set up a “By Schedule” Auto-Reload, the transaction will usually occur by 12:00 PM ET on the day you set up Auto- Reload. If you set up a “By Balance” Auto-Reload, the transaction will usually occur by 12:00 PM ET on the day after your balance falls below your set minimum.

What are your accepted forms of payment?

DunkinDonuts.com currently accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa, as well as Visa Checkout and Masterpass.

Is it really safe to use my credit card to order from DunkinDonuts.com?

Yes. We use a sophisticated software program (Secure Socket Layer Technology or SSL) that encrypts all information before it's sent to us. If anyone does intercept data, they won't be able to read or use it. In addition, all payment info is stored within your account—never on your device.

Can I store multiple forms of payment to purchase or reload my DD cards?

Of course! You can manage your cards within your account on DunkinDonuts.com or in the Dunkin’ app. Note: logging in to the app with your Dunkin' account will sync the two.

How do I update my credit card information?

To edit the credit card information on your account, please follow the instructions below:

Mobile App:

  1. Tap the “Home” button located on the bottom left corner of your screen (three solid lines and “DD”)
  2. Scroll down to select the “My Account” option
  3. Tap “Payment Details”
  4. To add a new credit card select “Add Credit/Debit Card and follow the instructions
  5. To edit your current credit card, tap the card in the list, modify any of the existing information, and then tap done
  6. To remove a credit card from your account, tap the card in the list, scroll to the bottom of the page, tap "Delete Card," and confirm the deletion by tapping "Yes, Delete".

DunkinDonuts.com

  1. Sign into your DDPerks account on DunkinDonuts.com
  2. Click the drop down menu and select “Manage Profile”
  3. Click “Payment Methods”
  4. To edit your current credit card, click “Edit” to the right of the card information you would like to update. Click “Done” when you are finished editing your credit card information.
  5. To remove a credit card from your account, click "Delete" and confirm the deletion by clicking “Continue”.

What if my Card is lost?

Email us and we’ll freeze your balance, transfer it and mail it your way. If your card is not registered, you must treat your card like cash. We cannot replace it if it is lost or stolen. If your card is not registered, you can register a card now.
